Business Visits

There is no specific provision in the Immigration Rules for business visitors. Business Visitors are mentioned within the general visitor provisions as a person coming to the United Kingdom to transact business. It provides a brief list of examples but it is not comprehensive.
The Immigration authority's policy guidelines allow a broad range of business activities to be undertaken by visitors including advisers, consultants, trainers, troubleshooters, computer software personnel coming to install, debug or enhance their products, and workers coming to erect, dismantle, service, repair or advise on the development of foreign-made machinery. This range sometimes makes it difficult to ascertain whether an individual requires a work permit or not.
Westminster Business Associates Ltd has considerable experience in providing advice on these matters.
If you have a specific query regarding business visits, please email business@visalondon.com or use our general enquiry form.
