United Kingdom immigration legislation has evolved over many years to reflect a changing world. Changes have been by act of parliament, changes to the Immigration Rules, the introduction of concessions and policy decisions. The Immigration and Nationality Directorate also has broad discretion to make decisions outside the Immigration Rules as it sees fit. These factors make it difficult to obtain definitive advice.
There is no substitute for experience in predicting the outcome of an application. Most categories of the Immigration Rules require that the Immigration Officer should be "satisfied" that certain criteria are met. This is straightforward if the matter to be satisfied is factual, for example, that evidence of enrollment on a course of study is required. However, the Immigration Rules are littered with terms like "genuinely" and "intends".
How does one satisfy the officer that there is a genuine intention to do something at a later date? We can advise you on this!
If we prepare an application on your behalf, our experience enables us to identify and answer questions that are likely to arise.
We are not magicians. If you do not qualify for entry, we cannot change you!
However, we can make a difference to applications and increase their chances of success. Please browse our pages for details of our services and how we work, how to contact us, and brief overviews of some of the immigration provisions that may apply in your circumstances.
